Creativity

Psychological growth and trauma recovery can have a direct impact on creative capacity. Those in the creative industries (such as film, tv, art) often find an organic interweaving of the insights gained through the process of inner work and an expansion of creative vision, mobilization of social responsibility, and a greater appreciation of one’s personal and professional leadership capacity.

The therapeutic process can serve as a non-judgmental, non-commercially oriented lab for studying your relationship to your creative work, and an arena to consider creativity from the point of view of your own inner evolution. Out of this work may also come a greater understanding of your agency as an artist, coworker, executive, or citizen.

The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.

(Carl Jung)
